Health Goal (PHG) Document On Perchlorate In California Drinking Water
[01/23/04]
On December 6, 2002 the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) of the California Environmental Protection Agency made available the Second Draft Technical Support Document for a Proposed Public Health Goal (PHG) for Perchlorate in Drinking Water. The first draft document was posted on the OEHHA Web site on March 11, 2002 . A one-day public workshop was held on April 29, 2002 , to discuss the scientific basis of the proposed PHG. OEHHA follows the requirements set forth in Health and Safety Code, Sections 57003(a) and 116365 , for conducting the workshop and receiving public input.
Additionally OEHHA requested that the University of California provide peer review of the document released on December 2, 2002. We are releasing the results of this external peer review. All three reviews are compiled in one report and that report is available for download as an Adobe pdf file.
