A workshop on soliciting public input on the proposed
process for developing safe harbor numbers was held on November
15, 2000 at the Elihu Harris State Office Building in Oakland,
California. Below are the transparencies of presentations made
by staff of California Environmental Protection Agency's Office
of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA). The workshop
was well attended with four oral comments made during the workshop.
The public comment period will close on Friday, December 8, 2000.
Following the close of the comment period, OEHHA expects to revise
as appropriate and then release as a separate document, Appendix
II - Proposition 65 Status Report: "No Significant Risk Levels
for Carcinogens and Maximum Allowable Daily Levels for Chemicals
Causing Reproductive Toxicity." OEHHA also expects to prepare
a brief report on the comments received.
