Public Comments: Proposed Adoption of NSRL and MADL for PCBs
[06/26/12]

On April 13, 2012, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) published a notice (http://www.oehha.ca.gov/prop65/law/041312nslrpcb.html) in the California Regulatory Notice Register proposing an amendment to Title 27, California Code of Regulations, section 25705, to update the No Significant Risk Level for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and an amendment to section 25805 to establish a Maximum Allowable Dose Level for PCBs.

Publication of the notice initiated a 45 day public comment period that was scheduled to close on May 28, 2012. OEHHA has received a request from the Mateel Environmental Justice Foundation to extend the public-comment period. OEHHA hereby extends the public comment period on these proposed regulatory amendments to 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2012.

The public is encouraged to submit written information via e-mail, rather than in paper form to P65Public.Comments@oehha.ca.gov. Please include "PCBs MADL/NSRL" in the subject line. Hard-copy comments may be mailed, faxed, or delivered in person to:
