Notice of Amendments to Text of Regulations Title 22, California Code of Regulations, Sections 12601 and 12201

On July 27, 2001, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking announcing proposed amendments to Title 22, California Code of Regulations (22 CCR) Sections 12601 and 12201. A public hearing was held on September 10, 2001. Written and oral testimony was accepted at the hearing. Written comments were also received during the 45-day public comment period which ended on September 10, 2001. On February 11, 2001, OEHHA issued a Notice of Modifications to Text of Proposed Regulations revising the proposed regulatory text of 22 CCR Sections 12601 and 12201. Written comments were received during the 15-day public comment period which ended on February 27, 2001. The Office of Administrative Law approved the amendments to 22 CCR Sections 12601 and 12201 on August 27, 2002. The amendments were filed with the Secretary of State on August 29, 2002 and will be effective on September 26, 2002. OEHHA announces the availability of the amended regulatory text and the supporting rulemaking documents.
