Environmental Protection Indicators for California (EPIC)
PROJECT UPDATE
The EPIC project has adopted a process for developing environmental indicators, and generated an initial set of 84 indicators dealing with air quality, water quality, water supply and use, waste management, human health, ecosystem health, pesticide, and transboundary issues.
The report, Environmental Protection Indicators for California (April 2002) describes the process for the identification and selection of environmental indicators that are adopted as part of the EPIC system, and presents the initial set of environmental indicators.
A short version of the report highlights selected indicators from the full report, and is intended for a broad audience.
