The California Environmental Protection Agencys Office of
Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is the lead agency
for the implementation of the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement
Act of 1986 (Proposition 65).
On October 10, 1997, OEHHA published a notice in the California
Regulatory Notice Register announcing the public meeting of the
Developmental and Reproductive Toxicant (DART) Identification Committee
and a tentative agenda. The meeting will be held on December 9,
1997 in the Auditorium at 744 P Street, Sacramento, California from
10:00 a.m. until all business has been conducted, or until 5:00
p.m. In addition to the agenda items presented in the October 10,
1997 notice, another agenda item will be discussed at the meeting.
Following agenda item IV (Legal Opinion on dueling authoritative
bodies), the DART Identification Committee will discuss the designation
of authoritative bodies for purposes of formally identifying chemicals
known to the State to cause reproductive toxicity.
